Nature + Forest Interpretation

The appeal of the Amazon is the same appeal as any great wilderness. Although we pride ourselves on catering to professional specialists, we appreciate that most of our guests seek a variety of experiences: the sunsets, the rivers, the forests, and the animals. We understand that some people are interested in a little bit of everything; not only the rainforest, but also the wildlife that make it home. We run many trips for people who want to get back to nature, see the forest, learn about the people, animals, and environment.

In the cool of the morning or afternoon, there are options for trail walks river drifts in search of wildlife and immersive experiences. Our local indigenous guides are forest experts, and can teach you about medicinal and useful plants, tree identification, survival techniques, and forest interpretation.

The tracks and signs of larger mammals, such as Tapir, Capybara, Jaguar and Peccaries are frequently found. Our guides are expert trackers and will point out interesting animal signs, observations, and behaviors. With a slice of luck you may get a nice view of the animals themselves, and many have been so fortunate.
